Equal pay for equal work revisited

One year ago on January 29, 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law his first bill the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009. Named for Ms. Ledbetteran Alabama woman who at the end of a 19-year career as a supervisor in a tire factory complained that she was paid less than the men. This law makes it easier for employees who have experienced pay discrimination to seek compensation. Equal pay for equal work, indeed.
